Brocante Style - The Hand Crafted, Unfitted Kitchen.

Care : When you know how to take care of your precious antiques, you are nothing short of a historic preservationist. You will need to be conscious of your atmosphere. Desert-like dryness will force even solid wood to contract if left unprotected. Protect the furniture from temperature extremes. The ideal setting for antiques is between 40-60 percent relative humidity. Keep your furniture out of direct sunlight as light damage is cumulative and not reversible.

Dusting: Lightly mist a soft cloth with distilled water and gently go over your antique in the direction of the grain, from top to bottom. The dampness in the rag is enough to grab the dust. Do not use a dry cloth as dry dust can scratch the furniture. Wax wood furniture at least once a year. Waxing protects the finish; which in turn protects the wood. Use oil on your wood furniture every other week (more if extremely dry in winter).

This range of furniture, which marries the Louis XV "Ile de France" style with 18th century Provincial forms, is both elegant and authentic. There is an exclusive finish. The furniture in our Chateau collection is produced using 18th century cabinetmaking techniques, and old recycled wood for a natural and high quality product.

Several coats of paint have been applied by hand to each piece of furniture, and each coat has been scraped, sanded and aged. to give them all the charm and authenticity of the lengthy caress of the centuries. It is hard to tell that they are not two hundred years old!

Refined details
The floral designs constitute a discreet but remarkable particularity of this collection. They are true sculptures, hand chiseled into the solid wood itself.
